The Kota Kinabalu Court had organised the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony one week before the coming of Ramadhan 1442H. The Quran recitation class has begun since February 2020 where a special programme was held and launched by The Right Honourable the Chief Justice of Malaysia. Participants of the programme are court staff and the class are taught by an experienced local Quran teacher who is also a graduate from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony 1442H was graced by The Right Honourable the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak and the speech was delivered by The Right Honourable the Chief Justice of Malaysia from Putrajaya via video conferencing. During the ceremony, all participants were led by Al Fadhil Al Ustadz Hj. Muhammad Haras Baco and recited few surahs from Juzu ‘Amma before the session ended with Khatam Al-Quran prayers. The Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak presented certificates of attendance and appreciation to all participants and teacher.
