The Mobile Court Programme continued to be held for the month of April in 2021. This time the programme was held at Kampung Batu 65, Beaufort, Sabah. The event was graced by the presence of The Right Honourable Dato’ Abang Iskandar bin Abang Hashim, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak who officially attended his first mobile court programme as the Chief Judge. The event was also graced by the presence of YB Datuk Isnin bin Haji Aliasnih @ Liasnih, Assistant Minister of Housing and Local Government of Sabah who is also the member of State Legislative Assembly of Klias. The court delegation led by the Chief Judge boarded the train from Beaufort station which took half an hour to reach Kampung Batu 65. Upon arrival, the Chief Judge was welcomed with a traditional welcome dance performed by the local residents and thereafter His Lordship launched the Mobile Court Programme. His Lordship’s entourage was later brought for walkabout near the area while the proceedings were being conducted by a team of 1 Judicial Commissioner, 2 Sessions Court Judges and 4 Magistrates inside the Community Hall. A total of 50 pre-registered applications were heard and disposed of within one hour with full compliance of the SOPs thanks to the cooperation given by all members of the public.
